How do we survive?
We appeal to your generosity in order to continue with our work of providing a place of study and practice of the Buddha's teachings. Resident monks contribute an amount of $8 per day for their meals and accommodation. Some monks receive support from personal benefactors or family, while others contribute from their own funds. This amount does not cover all costs but we have never increased it as the intention is to eventually be in the ideal position where the monastery can provide facilities at no cost to resident sangha.
You can help us provide the daily needs for the monks as well as the ongoing costs and development of the monastery by donating to any of the following funds. The monastery will acknowledge all donations and the donor's name will be included in the daily prayers of the monks.
General Donation- helps pay for the day-to-day expenses of the monastery.
Sponsorship Fund - directly covers the cost of meals, accommodation and health needs of the monks.
Building Fund - provides funding specifically for new buildings. Contributions are tax deductible for Australian residents.
